5 ) uhhhhhhhhhhhh……………I really like bromances. there was this really tragic bromance that sabs and I have recently developed for rodolphus/rabastan lestrange. and uhhhhhhh, idk, I’m not really “emotionally invested” in plots, like I don’t cry over them and obsess over them night and day. I do sometimes make indie playlists.

9 ) it’d be a hell lot uglier, but I dunno, we’d probably get a lot of shit done. 

10 ) LOLOLOLOL. uhm, everyone I’m friends with :] they’re all a bunch of amazing, creative, funny writers. there are definitely a lot of people that I’d love to get to know better and plot with in the future though.

31 ) I don’t count the first site I’ve actually been on all the back in 2004/2005 because rping there was really really really different from what I’m doing now since you could godmod and the admins dictated literally everything and it was very very very connected with this fanfiction story one of the admins wrote. I didn’t enjoy it, so I left. the first real rp site that I was on was probably embrace, which is still around now, shockingly enough.

I hate it when people say things like “OMG SOMEONE IS USING BARBARA PALVIN, WHAT THE HELL DO I DO? I ALWAYS USE BARBARA PALVIN!” or “UGHHHHHH WHO SHOULD I MAKE FOR MY 7TH GIRL IN A ROW?????? WHO WILL GET THE MOST PLOTS?” in the c-box.

6 ) I like dohtml and plot requests even though they’re kind of a pain in the ass to do, but they make everything look really really really pretty. I also like freestyle apps because they’re less confining than traditional apps. I like the note forum because I’m really lazy and it cures boredom when you need a quick fix (but then again, this has been around forever). I like some of the new games that people are playing, like the “if I woke up next to you” game and the gif game, even though I can’t play the gif game because I’m not good at finding gifs. 

I dislike how people always use the same pb’s all the time (and I mean models, by the way, since I usually rp on sites with models). there are a lot of models out there that are amazing that aren’t being used, and I get bored of things easily, so seeing the same girl used constantly by 10 people and hearing people complain because their favorite model’s already being used doesn’t really fly with me. I dislike how the word count has gotten so high that you’re spending 2000 words to describe things and maybe ten words to move the plot along. I wish we could go back to maybe 200 words per post but at the same time, we’ve evolved so much that this would technically be impossible.

also, what the hell happened to number ratings for hot/not? I dislike this adjective trend that’s going on because I can’t come up with that many adjectives without breaking out the thesaurus.

also please use normal font instead of fancy font for your notes and stuff. I know that you want it to look cool and authentic like hey, it’s my character’s handwriting! it’s fine if you use it as your character’s signature at the end, but ultimately, I have to read that shit if I want to enjoy it, so stick to regular font, all right?

but there is hope that I’ll get over all of these dislikes. I got over how people registered with their middle names all the time, after all.

26 ) the appearance. an ugly and unreadable site turns me off immensely, I’m sorry to say. I’m also really obsessed with canons like whether you have good names/how many you’ve got and extra information and generally how much EFFORT you put into the site. if I can tell that you’ve really worked hard on it, I’ll want to join. if not, nah. I’m not really into sites that let you choose your own name because I dunno, some people pick really awful names.

I guess I like a more canon site than an au one unless the au one has a really cool plot. but sometimes au sites are just confusing as hell and I’d have to read everything like ten times to really be sure that I get what’s going on, and that’s really a hassle. a few amazing subplots couldn’t hurt either, but I don’t mind if there aren’t any subplots. but it is a turn off when there’s like twenty half-assed subplots though.

I also dislike it when a site uses an idea that’s been beaten to death, i.e a disease/virus has swept the wizarding world or that all of the muggleborns/muggles have been enslaved/if everything’s a monarchy now.

basically, if you want me to join, make it pretty, make it original, make it interesting, give me good names, DON’T MAKE WEIRD-SOUNDING MEMBER GROUPS THAT’LL TAKE ME FOREVER TO REMEMBER, and don’t be clique-y and have a bunch of members make like 10 characters JUST for their friends.

I mean, I have my rp friends, and we all love to plot with each other, but I at least try to leave one or two of my characters as blank slates. I guess the members count a lot for whether I decide to join or not.

44 ) LOL I’M PRETTY SURE THERE AREN’T ANY RUMORS ABOUT ME. but I dunno, I might be really picky, but I honestly try my best to be civil to everyone, and I’ve never been in the middle of any site drama. yeah, I guess I’ll say I’m nice. I dunno. I’ve been told I’m intimidating and intense by people that are now my friends, and they certainly don’t think I’m intimidating and intense anymore, I guess. they think I’m crazy, probably, but in a good way. I hope.

18 ) I don’t really know. to be honest, I’m kind of really detached from all of my characters. it’s sort of like I’m the puppet master and they’re all my little puppets rather than I’m actually one of them and living vicariously through them. none of my characters are exactly like me. a very rare few might actually have one of my qualities, like my love for pulpy orange juice, for instance.

but if I absolutely had to pick, I think I’d be……albus potter, or at least my version of albus potter.

because I’d be really hot and broody and snarky and responsible and all of the ladies would love me.

I have a really long list of pb’s I can’t stand, which I wish I could narrow down, but the task is too great for a small person such as myself, so I’m going to go with the pb I’m terrified of being forced to plot with most in the world.

3 ) idfk. someone laughed at me once for wanting a really teary, dramatic, lovey-dovey, notebook-esque fralice plot once. where there was knee-grabbing and pleads for forgiveness and passionate declarations of love and making out in a raging storm. I WON’T SAY WHO IT WAS THAT MOCKED SUCH A BRILLIANT PLOT, BUT YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

35 ) apps make the world go round so that you can see whether or not the person who’s applying for the character really knows what the hell they’re doing.

7 ) I had to narrow down my list since there are a LOT of amazing writers in the rp world, but ultimately I decided on ARIT, PARIS, & PRIYA, because I literally stalk/read everything they write. I can’t help it. if I see if it’s written by any of those three, I run to read it because it’s all insanely brilliant and hilarious and interesting and their characters are all so well-rounded and real and carefully crafted, and they constantly make me wonder how the hell they come up with the stuff that they do. they could probably write a boring ass book on the history of desks, and I would read it.

4 ) uhmmm, I do love a good angst plot, to be honest, if it’s extremely well done. I also like crazy dramatic plots, again, if they’re well done, because if not, it’s just a big mess.

8 ) I don’t really have favorites since I like all sorts of characters. I do have a fond spot for the delightfully snarky ones, however, that are sort of broody. 

16 ) uh, I guess I’m good with dialogue. I focus mostly on my character’s characterization first and how they interact with people, and I don’t think in terms of what kind of character will people want to plot with. I think in terms of what kind of character I want to play at that very moment.

17 ) I’m terrible at describing things, like scenery, for example. really bad. I also use the word “stare” and “look” a lot, I think. I’m honestly considering making a list of metaphors to help out with description.

19 ) I didn’t get as good grades as I could have without it to distract me. and I guess it really helped me out with characterization, which can come in handy if you’re trying to write a novel, like me.

23 ) see 17. my biggest insecurity is that I CANNOT, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, DESCRIBE.

37 ) MEMBER. I’ve adminned a lot of sites, and while I liked making the sites, adminning it and putting up with all of the bullshit that regular members aren’t normally aware of is a pain in the ass.

45 ) idk, I don’t use celebrities. but I have started disliking a lot of models because people either overuse them or keep using them for a shit character. pardon my french. a lot of victoria’s secret models have unfortunately fallen victim to the latter. 8[ which is unfortunate because I’m sure they’re nice people.

blaise grew up insanely wealthy since his mother’s a gold-digger, and a lethal one at that, reeling in rich men with her famous beauty and causing them to mysteriously disappear after a few months of marriage. this was how she supported blaise, who was the result of a love affair while married to her first husband. she passed blaise off as her husband’s child and promptly discarded him for an even richer man in order to keep him from finding out about blaise’s illegitimacy. blaise is his mother’s most prized treasure, and while she wasn’t the motherly sort, she tried to take care of him by spoiling him rotten. blaise, however, was not really the sort to want anything, being extremely hard to please, so most of his presents were thrown away unopened. 

blaise was popular in school, rivalling draco malfoy when it came to controlling slytherin house. half of slytherin was draco’s, made up of those who were interested in his supposed death eater connections and his general wealth, and the other half who didn’t give a fuck and thought that he was a little twat and that blaise was at least much more interesting. blaise and draco had a bit of an on/off friendship, but ultimately blaise was closer to loner theodore nott than he was with draco malfoy simply because blaise himself was a loner at heart. despite being surrounded by all of his friends and admirers, blaise really did just prefer solitude because nothing will ever make him happy. the girls weren’t pretty enough, the presents too boring, the attention annoying, and malfoy needed to shut the fuck up about writing to his father when blaise didn’t even have a father to begin with since his mother’s current squeezes never counted since they were more interested in the hole between his mother’s legs than blaise himself.

he and draco eventually became brothers-in-law as draco married astoria greengrass and blaise chose to marry her older sister daphne out of simple necessity and escape from the affections of pansy parkinson. daphne was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, but blaise was ultimately unimpressed, and their marriage was a loveless one, but their sex life was actually quite decent. they were both relatively cold people and didn’t need much of an emotional connection, so this was perfectly all right with them.

dean thomas’s biological father had actually been a wizard that had left his muggle wife in hopes of protecting her and dean; he was eventually murdered by death eaters after declining to join voldemort several times. dean would never find out the truth about his father, which would possible remain the biggest regret in an otherwise happy life. his mother married a muggle named mr. thomas who raised dean as his own son, and he would eventually have several half-sisters whom he would also have an extremely good relationship with. once he started attending hogwarts, he met his best friend seamus finnigan, who balanced out dean’s generally calm demeanor with his crazy antics. originally, they’d paired off simply because harry potter and ron weasley seemed to already know each other from the train, so it was either sticking with loud, irish seamus, or that weird fat kid longbottom who kept losing his toad. dean felt a bit sorry for neville longbottom, but not sorry enough to stake his entire reputation on him (although they all eventually became close friends along with harry and ron). besides, he and seamus just clicked better; seamus’s dad was a muggle, so he knew a bit about muggle football, which was dean’s favorite sport, west ham being his favorite team. it took dean a while to really get into quidditch although he embraced the rest of being a wizard quite wholeheartedly, but it eventually grew on him, especially since he did play on the house team for a while.

dean was known as the artistic one in gryffindor, often designing posters for the gryffindor quidditch team and occasionally some club posters for a bit of pocket money. he did a few for harry out of friendship, free of charge, to show his support for harry through all of the shit harry would eventually have to put up with in his life. dean proves himself to be extremely loyal, and stood by harry even when few people did. while dean is generally a very relaxed person by nature, but he isn’t afraid to voice his own opinions when something rubs him the wrong way. he and seamus had a bit of a disagreement when seamus believed the daily prophet’s smear campaign against harry and dumbledore in fifth year, but ultimately seamus came around, and he and dean patched up their friendship. 

dean’s harbored a crush on the patil twins for ages, even while he was dating ginny weasley. he and parvati began dating shortly after the second war, although things eventually got a bit rocky. dean eventually met padma again while shopping in diagon alley by himself in hopes of escaping parvati just for a little while. they clicked immediately, and dean found himself highly attracted to padma, who was the calmer, saner, more clearheaded version of his girlfriend. they carried on an affair that ended when dean and parvati got married in an effort to repair their relationship. spurned, padma packed her bags and moved to america and married a muggle there instead.
